That was one of those dreaded phrases that used to come out of my teacher’s mouth when I would ask how to spell something.
Honestly, that never made any sense to me. You have to know how to spell the word to look it up. So now that I’m not in school answering to a teacher I can say:
“HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO LOOK IT UP IF I DON’T KNOW HOW TO SPELL IT?”
Google is my dictionary
Now I would say Look it up on Google, because that is what I do.
Here are examples of two words I tired to spell and spent hours in the dictionary “TRYING” to find out how to spell them and gave up.
Now if a teacher said “Look it up on Google” that would make perfect sense.
