Early Morning Priority —COFFEE

Krispy Kreme Coffee

They Brew Regular First

It was early, at least for me it was early. 4:45am up and showered off to Arizona City to help my Metal Artist son install 4 security doors that were more art than doors. I love his work, and will post a few images of the doors as soon as I get back there to take them. Back to my point.

I was out the door by 5:15 and the biological craving for coffee was “strong”

I pulled into McDonald’s on Tangerine Road at 5:30 just as the doors were being unlocked. Not a car in the parking lot. Fresh brewed coffee and no line. Yeah, it’s a good day and I’m on the road before the heat of the day. Life is good.

“Large Coffee, 4 creams on the side” Order taken, payment made. Then . . . “Oh, I’m sorry, we are brewing “DECAF” and it will be at least 5 minutes before we can get to a pot of regular.”

“I don’t have 5 minutes.”

“Ice Coffee?”

“At 5:30 in the morning? No. I’ve got to go”

This is where everybody knows my name McDonalds. The shift manager comes up and says, “Dave, I’m sorry, we don’t have any regular right now.”

I said, graciously, “Ok, you owe me a large coffee, I’ll be back tomorrow for it.” She acknowledges the debt and off I go for a 40 mile drive without coffee.

As I walk out the door I’m thinking, “Who the hell drinks decaf coffee at 5:30 in the morning” But until yesterday I would never have thought “Who the hell starts brewing Decaf coffee FIRST at McDonalds at 5:30 in the morning.”

Is this a “DUH” or is it just me?

It’s not just you it’s a “DUH”. Always brew the full strength stuff first.
I like your blog and the real estate site as well. They are the same writer aren’t they?

They are the same writer. But I can only write here when I’m tired. Oh, wait, I’m always tired.

Leaded first, ALWAYS….it’s a total DUH!
