This is what it looks like now.
I quip that it didn’t take long, actually it took about 2 1/2 hours and I only had to put it together once. (Sometimes I put things together a couple times depending on how many parts are left over). I’ll spare you the details. Would I do it again? Yes.
I had read one review of the grill saying “It only took me an hour to assemble the grill” But that’s a topic for another post (Product Reviews).
Burn it in and Season
I got a new bottle of propane and lit the grill for 5 minutes to “burn it in” and get any of the new smell out before cooking begins. It is cool now and I have one more burn in to do before it is used for grilling. I need to “season” the grill surfaces. I’ll use olive oil for that task. Wiping it on the grill and lighting it for another 3 to 5 minute burn in to get the racks ready so food doesn’t stick to them.
Tomorrow is the 4th of July, perfect day for grilling in America. Fry’s has New York Strip steaks and T-bones on sale all weekend. I should grill.
But there is one final obstacle. I really don’t want to get this beauty dirty.
Hum . . .what to do?
